  12. Win95 suppose to make it easier by configuring the init strings/dial strings
  13. for you -- in theory. In practice, it just makes it harder with nasty
  14. configuration files for every model and brand of modems.. Coupled with
  15. inefficient communication routines, makes Win95 a winner in communications
  16. field :)

  18. I use SIO with OS/2, and it never misses characters, even under heavy load.
  19. With a BBS with 3 modems, one of them being an internet leased line, I know
  20. what heavy load is :)  -turgut
